Attorney Lidiana Rios joined Keating Wagner in 2016. A graduate of the University of California- Los Angeles Law School, Lidiana focuses her practice on complex commercial and civil litigation. She answered a few questions about her practice in early July.
What is the most rewarding part of practicing law for you?
I enjoy the challenges, both personal and intellectual, that each day brings. Practicing law requires a rigorous work ethic, an organized mind, and a persevering and tenacious character. My role as an advocate is to take on clients’ toughest predicaments and bring them to a successful resolution. I take a lot of pride in being able to do that, and to provide clients with sterling service that gives them peace of mind.
What do you do outside the office?
I love to explore—whether it’s neighborhoods, restaurants, or venues in Denver or in cities and countries around the world. I travel a lot. I also love to cook and work out—that’s how I meditate and decompress.
How are you involved in the community outside the office?
I am on the Young Professionals Council of Denver Kids, Inc., which provides educational counseling and mentoring to thousands of Denver Public School students, grades K-12, who face the challenges of high-risk environments. The goal and mission is that every student counts, and every student graduates. I come from a family of teachers, and I believe in the transformative power of education, how it can break the cycle of poverty, and how it can launch kids into a world of opportunity.
I am also on the Litigation Section Council of the Colorado Bar Association, which has programs to promote advocacy training, law reform, and professional development for litigators, regardless of plaintiff or defense orientation.
