Of these accidents, 16 involved suspected alcohol use, four suspected marijuana use, and seven the use of other types of drugs. Careless driving and driver inexperience were also factors in these accidents. In 2021, Jefferson County had 252 reported motorcycle accidents, with 15 resulting in DUI charges.
