Pueblo County Colorado, Fatal Car Accident Facts & Statistics
Pueblo County had 34 deadly car accidents in 2021 that resulted in 32 total deaths. Of those accidents, 16 involved drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol were responsible for 17 of the total fatalities for the year. As of August 2022, 27 deaths have occurred in 22 motor vehicle accidents on Pueblo County roads since the beginning of the year. A total of eight of those accidents involved intoxicated motorists that were responsible for the deaths of eleven individuals.

As of August 2022, Pueblo County has had 1,605 car accidents this year, resulting in 66 serious injuries from 47 crashes. The number of car accidents in previous years are as follows:

From January 1, 2022- August 31, 2022, there have been 46 reported motorcycle accidents in Pueblo County, one resulting in DUI charges and six with suspected alcohol use. In addition to drugs and alcohol, careless and aggressive driving, driver inexperience, and speeding were also factors in motorcycle accidents. Pueblo County reported 111 motorcycle accidents in 2021, one resulting in DUI charges and six with suspected alcohol use.
