At Keating Wagner Polidori Free, philanthropy has always been a part of our mission, and we firmly believe in giving back to our community. One of the ways we do this is by partnering with Craig Hospital, a renowned local medical facility that provides world-class care to many of our clients suffering from brain and spinal cord injuries.
Keating Wagner Polidori Free: 2022 Spark Donors
Keating Wagner has been a loyal supporter of Craig for many years. This year, we proudly participated in the Craig Hospital Spark Impact Celebration with a $10,000 silver level sponsorship. The Spark Impact Celebration occurred on June 11, 2022, at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Another celebration will also take place this October, at Hudson Gardens.
What is Spark?
The Spark Celebration arose during the COVID-19 pandemic as an extension and temporary substitute for the annual PUSH Gala. Spark’s initiatives are to kindle relationships and catalyze support for Craig hospital patients and their families. Spark isn’t just in the Denver area; this year, many Spark events will be held across the country by Friends of Craig.
Funds raised will continue to ignite new research ideas, fuel innovation for programs that serve Craig patients, and illuminate independence by providing critical assistance for equipment needs, home modifications, and more.
In honor of his wife Julie, Art Seiden founded PUSH in 2021. A 1996 horse jumping accident resulted in Julie’s paralysis, and she spent 120 days at Craig Hospital. The inaugural “Push for the Cure” dinner benefited the Craig Center for Spinal Cord Injury Research and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Since then, the PUSH Gala’s focus has grown to meet hospital and patient needs, yet it remains focused on brain and spinal cord injury research.
In 2021, the PUSH Gala was held virtually on June 26. Despite being a virtual event, it raised a record-setting $3.3 million. Almost 500 people, companies, and foundations supported the 2021 PUSH Gala. Instead of holding another virtual event, organizers decided to host a live celebration in outdoor settings with limited attendance, and thus Spark was born.
