Keating Wagner is proud to announce once again our sponsorship of ThunderRidge High School (TRHS) Grizzly Gives Week in Q1 of 2022. With roots of over 30 years in our Colorado community, we are committed to enriching the local communities where our employees and clients work and live. Each year, our firm, as well as our employees, touch the lives of thousands of individuals through community service that focuses on education, health, and human services. In our community service efforts, we’ve partnered with Craig Hospital, Denver Kids, Vision Zero, Denver Police Protective Association, and Children’s Hospital Burn Camp, just to name a few. This year we are also partnering with ThunderRidge High School to raise money for charity.
Partner Melissa Sullivan worked as a middle and high school math teacher before earning her law degree. Today, her husband, Thomas Sullivan, continues shaping young minds in math and computer science at TRHS in Highlands Ranch, CO. Mr. Sullivan gives his own time and energy to help organize this fundraiser. Tom and Melissa’s oldest child is also a student at the school, and he is also a member of TRHS student government, the organizer of Grizzly Gives Week.
Like many Douglas County High Schools, TRHS puts on various fundraising events during a specific week, “Grizzly Gives Week,” each year to raise money for charity. For the past two years, TRHS has raised funds for Caruso Family Charities.
Caruso Family Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization that assists families of a child, adolescent, or young adult who is being treated in Colorado for a life-threatening disease or life-altering event. Their mission is to relieve some financial pressures, allowing the family to focus on caring for their sick child. Funds raised by TRHS are allocated to one to two specific families in need as selected by the charity. The charity manages the funds for the family, using them to pay for basic necessities, such as rent or utilities.
This year the money raised during Grizzly Gives Week will be is presented to Caruso Family Charities at a school assembly on March 8, 2022 (COVID permitting). Melissa will be attending this year’s assembly in support of her husband and child, as well as representing the firm’s involvement in this vital community event.
Keating Wagner sponsored Grizzly Gives Week in 2018 and 2020; unfortunately, yet understandably TRHS did not request sponsorships in 2021 due to COVID-19. We wish TRHS a successful Grizzly Gives Week and encourage them to keep up the good work making a difference in their community. If you are interested in getting involved or sponsoring this event, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Thomas Sullivan or ThunderRidge High School at 303-387-2000.
